Sara Robertsson featured as one of five designers redefining Scandinavian Jewellery in VOGUE Paris.
"The Swedish designer describes her work as “organic minimalism” - a combination of clean lines and soft shapes inspired by fabric movement and nature. “It's another type of minimalism,” muses Robertsson. “It's close to nature but still very sober, clean and understated.”
While traditional jewellers depend on sketches or 3D programmes, Robertsson uses pattern construction to create her flowing designs. Starting with paper and scissors, she drapes her pieces by bending a very thin metal sheet by hand. Finally, the draping is cleaned into patterns, just as a dress would be."
